So, someone who just aligns so deeply when there's that human being that just knows that there's something more to life and there's more to life than going through the motions, I am just so excited to have this conversation today. So, Christy, welcome to the show. Oh my gosh. What a beautiful intro. I can get that from you. I can that? You said. Thank you so much for having me and for all of your work. Absolutely. It's it's so cool to connect with you. So Christy and I met initially in October. We had an opportunity to go to a business boot camp in Puerto Rico. And then, you know, in those settings, there's so many people. Right? So you you say hello, and it feels like, you know, you you meet people at the workout and all these different things. But, you know, connecting after the fact and really having some real conversations has been really cool for me. And, you know, there's there's those people that you meet who you know are operating from a different place. Right? Who are operating from a depth that's deeper than just just doing things to, you know, achieve the success and do the things. And, you know, that's why I'm really excited for our conversation because when we connected, it was like there's so much beautiful depth and so much intention in the work that you're doing. And, you know, I really wanna share that story today. And, you know, we talked a little bit in the intro about there being this pivot moment for you. Right? Like, you you would achieve this external success in the career that you're in, but you knew that there was something else there. And I would love for you to share that story of, you know, what that looked like and what really brought you to that point 6 years ago. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I feel the same about you by the way. It's, you know, when you the energy does not lie. And, the way that you feel in certain moments is, is is truth. So I feel the same in our conversation when we connected. After the boot camp, I'm so glad that we found each other and that I was just provide those workouts. Me too. Me too. Oh my gosh. But, so for me, you know, I you do the best you can, and I feel like sometimes when you see, you can't unsee. And, one of the things in my life that I would probably say was it was there, but it was lacking to a point, was infusing myself with, with new experiences and new information. And I feel like, you know, now my world is, it's so full of personal development and books and podcasts and have been around amazing people like you. But my world back then was not. And so, you know, isolation is never a good thing. And although I was around so many people and I was working so hard and so busy, being, my true self was I was isolated from having real conversations, I think is what I'm trying to say. Yep. And I I was, really always, very hard on myself and still am. And so when I have these moments where I'm like, man, this this is great. I mean, in terms of, the chase of financial freedom, which is what I was on from a very young age, I didn't wanna worry about money. I heard conversations about money at a young age. I didn't want that to be a stress point. And, if anybody follows me, you know, I kinda go, like, take it to everything to the extremes, which I love. And I don't wanna change about myself, but my career was the same. Right? So here I am on paper making almost a half $1,000,000 a year. And it wasn't just like 1 year. It was like year after year after year. And it was the climb and the recognition. And and this definition of success that I had put on myself was, was darn near impossible. And all these rules that I had, and when I sat down and looked at the rules, it was like, I have to have the best buy. I have to be up for all the promotions. Even if I don't want them, I have to be number 1. I have to be president's club. It's like, how in the why I don't have an autoimmune disorder is by the grace of God, seriously, because I believe that's why a lot of that stuff happens is there's so much stress. Yes. And it's things that you can't control. And I continued through this journey, although I was having a major, major success, I would feel friction inside all the time. I just would it was like a restless feeling. And I would think that, oh, it's the number. Oh, it's the this. Oh, it's the presentation that's coming up. Oh, it's, you know, we're behind 2 whatever. It's 2,000,000 in our number. And the reality of it was that could have been a little bit of it, but but I was misaligned. And I kept trying to, like, let me I was looking at her and why is she okay in this environment? Why is why is he okay? And why does anybody else seem to be okay? I must be I I need to get better. I need to get better. And I always believe I need to get better, but I was focused on getting better in the wrong areas. So the pivotal moment for me was, I did a a Tony Robbins event that was like my entry point into personal development. And he had us, he said success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure. And I probably heard that 4 or 5 times in those rooms and on his, you know, his back then it was like the DVD or the the CDs. Yes. That I skipped, you know, Like, over and over, so I'm gonna get my hands on that. And so so and that and that goes to show it wasn't 6 years ago. Like, this in my head, this journey started far before 6 years ago. I just didn't have the courage to do it. So, he said success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure. And at that time, it hit me like a bolt of lightning in the chest. And I was like, woah. I think somebody just put words to the way that I'm feeling. He said, take out a piece of paper and write down what makes you feel fulfilled. So here I am. You know my financial success. I have an MBA, a pre med undergrad. I don't think I'm a dumb I'm googling fulfillment. I don't even know what the word means. So once I have it, I'm like, oh my gosh. Okay. So now I now I'm so proud. I have this list. And my list, Shannon, was like, I want to be so present for the people that I'm in front of. I want to hear with my whole body. I want my antennas to be so sharp and turned on because I want to help them. And the helper's high is real. I want to rescue dogs. I want to rehabilitate them. I want to be in nature. I want to have fun. I want to I love to work out. I I like to travel for fun. And then he goes, okay. The next point the next part of the exercise is you either need to find a way to make money doing that, and I'm like, oh, there's oh, oh, okay. That's it. Or there's no money at that. Right? Or or find a job that, find a way to, to have more freedom time freedom so that you can spend more time doing this. And I'm looking at my life and fulfillment, and my life is on a parallel path. There's no way I'm gonna jump over. Like, no way. And it was like the the the best moment of my life, and then all of a sudden, all the all the pressure and the fear kicked in. And I'm like, I'm gonna have to leave my job. I'm I'm gonna have to leave my job. And so this was, like, 2 years before I actually did it. And I do I did what most people did. I took a vacation. I went back to that loop of like, oh, okay. Well, maybe I just need to find a way to deal with some of these things that I don't like in corporate America, the things that are stressing me out. And I believe it was a God moment, whatever you believe in. Like, I believe that when I'm not I I don't have the courage to take action, sometimes I get a lump over the head or I get this blessing that's put in front of me. Right? And the blessing that was put in front of me, at the time was I, I was offered a promotion. I said, I don't wanna take the promotion. I'm trying to really find balance. And they said, well, the person that's going to take the job, I don't think that you're going to be happy with who's who that person is. And I was like, okay. Well, who is it? Well, it was somebody that a couple of years beforehand, I was warned that I had a target on my back. They said, hey. She hey, just won President's Club. Her best friend was in my region as well. She didn't like that. They didn't like that. And I mean, this person was states away, so it didn't bother me. I'm like, whatever. But now to know that that person is going to be above me and her best friend is still with us, I I knew I knew it was gonna happen, and I and I thought, alright. Well, thank thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That's it. Shoot. I gotta figure this out. Right? And I gave myself a year. I gave myself a year to, you know, to figure out. I just said, okay. Let's just see how it goes. And if you start to see start to feel like it's it's time. And, you know, I I didn't make it a year. I mean, I think it was maybe 6 months. And, what I realized going through all of that with Tony Robbins is that at that moment in his rooms, like, I was right at the edge ready to jump. And if you don't make the jump at when you have that moment, then it's almost like the loop has to start over again. Yes. Because then I took the vacation. I got comfortable, and then I told myself all these stories. And, and I had to, you know, I had to feel all those feelings again, the sleepless nights, the restlessness, the friction. Why am I not, you know, am I in the wrong place? And then when I saw her, like, get deployed in, I'm like, okay. Alright. Got it. Got it. I'm I'm gonna go. And I decided to leave without a plan, because I had these platinum handcuffs, and I was so close, and nobody understood. This world of people like you didn't exist in my life yet. So I didn't have the strength of anybody else around me. It was just me with me. And I knew when I was by myself and really tapped into my gut instinct, which to me is that's my spirituality. I knew that what I needed to do, but then then trying to explain it to other people that thought I was crazy, that made me think that I was crazy. Yes. And, I knew that I needed to find a new center. And the things that I teach women now and my programs, I have all the words for it. I walk them through everything. I was just moving off of family, to be honest, Shannon. Like, feeling an intuition, I was moving off of all of that. But I left to find my new center, and I knew that I could bet on myself. Although, like, it was a it was a small glimmer. I mean, I like, it's nothing like the way my my light shines bright for others and myself now, but there was I I bet on myself. And I wanted to find a new center to rebuild from, one that was filled with fulfillment. There's so many things that you're saying where just their words are hitting. You know, it's like, just that where you talk about this knowing and you talk about this intuition, but no plan. Right? But, like, this this just this knowing that you have to just keep taking the step. Right? And and, you know, I think I think there's a lot that comes up for people with that. Right? Because I can I can relate to that too? Right? There's there was something in my life where it's like, I know that I have to keep doing this. I don't know where it's gonna go. I don't know what it's gonna look like. So what what allowed you because you're talking about the beginning, like, it it there was darkness. There was isolation. What did you as you started to find that center, what did you turn towards or what really allowed you in those really hard times where, like, oh my god, I don't know if I could take another step. Like, what allowed you to keep showing up knowing that there was somewhere that you were headed? Yeah. You know, I I think that, when when other people believe in you, it's a beautiful thing too. And all the moments that people believed in me and the like, those comments were running through my head, and I would document them and I'd go back to them. And it wasn't a coincidence that everybody would say the same things throughout my life and throughout, you know, throughout my adult career probably mostly. And and so I leaned on that. I leaned on my faith, and I leaned on my routine. And and, the I wouldn't even say the middle. I was like the I was gonna say the messy middle, but it's like the messy beginning and it's almost middle and middle. And that is the worst place to be at. And it really is because you try things out and then you're like, you know, okay. I'm a little closer. Okay. I'm there. No. I'm not there. Okay. I'm there. No. I'm not there. Okay. And and, what really helped me and what what I what I help, what I always tell other people is it's your environment and getting around. Because now the environment that you and I are in, this is the norm. It's like wherever you step up is not probably where you're gonna land. Okay? So let me just tell you that. Alright? And let me tell you that you're gonna feel, like, really frustrated, and you're gonna feel like your identity has been stripped. And but but now going back to my reason why, and, that's helpful. And I believe that, you know, I'm on a mission, and it's and one part of my purpose is to figure this out for the 100 of thousands of women behind me that are feeling this way that that don't have the environment. But when things really started to when I really started to get unstuck, it was when I was around the right people. That's when it all, you know, because the first part was really, I think I was lying to myself, thinking like it was just going to fall in my lap. But me, if you know human design, I'm a generator. I which is I generate energy no matter where I go, but I don't always have the ideas. And what that what I know now is I need a ton of exposure. So I need podcasts. I need books. I need to go to personal development. I need to have a bunch of connection calls on my on my schedule because I'm probably gonna hearsay hear something or see something that I'm like, oh. Yes. That's it. That's it right there. Yeah. There was somebody very early on when I left. She said you should be a life coach. And at the time, I was so caught in my ego, Shannon, because my identity was that job, and my identity was, doing something that nobody could do and the prestige of being recruited by the top companies in the world that everybody wanted to be at. And I'm, like, trying to find ways to turn them down nicely. And and when she said life coach, I'm like, what is that? Oh, I don't even know. What does that even mean? Like, well, I don't even know. I'm coaching people on Who needs a life coach? I don't even like I think I need one. You know? And once I learned what it was, and she she worked alongside Tony Robbins for 30 years. She was at the ground floor of all of his work, and she handed me a microphone, and she said, you're gonna emcee an event for me. And I'm like, it was it was a health care panel, so it was very but I knew the story, and I knew how to manage those big personalities and get the information out of them to the people that needed it. Like, let's just go, you know. So that was a sign of what I do now. Like, I make things very simple, and I want you to get the momentum. But she saw something in me, and she and and, and I I'll never forget that because she knew. She knew my potential. At the time, everybody, 6 years ago, was taking, like, a course online to become a life coach. Yep. So now I go from the prestigious identity. This is all ego. And now I'm gonna put myself over here where, like, you know, you see the 23 year old memes from the life coach. Like, bless your heart. I love you. Like, great. Like, you're doing great. And I say that with the most love, but my audience is a little bit different. Yes. Right? So I had to get out there and, and, and and prove to myself and create the belief in myself. Yeah. But that's really what it comes down to. I didn't believe that I had I had a place in the space, and now I'm like, oh my gosh, I have a place in the space. Absolutely. And so as you're creating these spaces for women and really creating these environments, right, what are you finding is that big hold up for most people? Yeah. It's, it's it's, I would say that 95% of people and women are not aligned to who they really truly are. Yep. And they they they may know who they are. They may not know who they are. But the majority of them, when the light gets turned on, when we turn that light on, then it's like, oh my gosh. Same as me. I built this life that I don't really want to show up for. It doesn't mean like we're leaving our husbands and our jobs and maybe, you know, maybe that everything is the same is that we're reframing everything. But, but that's the moment and that everything shifts is when they start to believe that, the things that you love to do, you can you can make that the majority of your life and you can be even more financially successful doing that. But and I believe my story is walking proof of that because I didn't have to believe you. Like, seriously rescuing dogs and then pouring into people. I didn't even know what a life coach was. Like, really, I didn't even I didn't even know. So but what but what I do know is I felt the heaviness and the friction, and I felt like, man, I don't wanna there's not a day that I don't get up that I'm not excited for the day. And it doesn't mean that I'm not pushing myself because we know I do that. There's times that it's like, woah. What did I just oh, okay. But it's different because that's I'm aligned to the path that I want to achieve. Yes. I feel like that field can go so far in for people. And we talked about this a little bit more because I think especially that word, for some reason, people think it's like a soft skill. Right? Or if it's like something that's like, sure. I'll get there. You know? Or I'll I'll find it by my If your listeners have a better word, please help me. Yes. What's the better word for a learner? Because people don't think it's like all woo woo. Because I believe it's all that too, but like, man, when we get down to it, we're gonna You're right. And it's and I think that's the piece too because I feel like in the space of personal development, a lot of what you hear is, like, just say yes to everything, you know, and, like, you'll figure figure it out. And that's a little bit what you were talking about at the beginning of the journey. It's like, yes. You have to try things on. It is so important. And when you're trying them on from a place of alignment, it feels very different than just, like, I have to fill up my calendar almost out of fear of not being busy. And I think, you know, this idea of alignment like, how did and I I know there's lots of steps to it. But for you personally, like, was there a process where you started to be able to check-in with yourself or, like, to understand, okay, what feels aligned and what doesn't? Yeah. And, this is another area that I I would love help on, just re renaming it because I think that people gloss over. Yes. You, your values, that's your system. That that is a big system. That's a foundational system that I walk everybody through and I walk myself through it. And so understanding what your values are and understanding what it looks like to you when you are not operating inside those values. So and then, like, it's such a foundation. I'll give you an example of of when I walk myself through it and what I do with these ladies. Really anybody, whether it's a CEO, it's group coaching, if it's an entrepreneur, it's all the same. But so for me, integrity and truth and appreciation and respect are all values. Right now in this season of my life, courage and wisdom are at the forefront. So every action I take, I must be courageous. And I need to use wisdom in a lot of these conversations you and I have been having. Right? And is this am I trusting God? Is this is this my intuition? Do I need to pause and go ask the same person, 15 you know, 15 people the same question? Because I don't know. Am I using my intellect? If if you're feeling friction inside, and I felt this in corporate America. I'm like, why don't I like these people? Like, why don't I wanna be I don't want to play the political game, Shannon. I don't. I want I want who I am to be seen and valued and appreciated, and I want the whole company to be aligned with that. But I haven't found a company. I'm creating my own. Yes. I haven't found a company where I could show up, and it's like all these times that I was comparing myself to, like, why is she okay with that? Why is he okay with that? Why is everybody okay with the fact that we're having meetings to talk about the upcoming meeting, and then the meeting doesn't happen, and I'm like, that's 5 hours. Yes. I can't get that back. Why does that not bother anybody? I'll be still with you. Meeting's about meetings. No. Yes. So here I was all this time comparing myself to others, and if I just knew that the reason it bothered me so much was because it's a bit beyond conflicts my core values. Yes. So what does it look like when I'm outside of my values? Well, I'm angry. I'm frustrated. Well, that doesn't feel very good. So so right away, right now, now I have a couple of things that, Christy, if you are ever feeling frustrated or you ever feel angry, boom. Why don't you go check-in with your angry, boom. Why don't you go check-in with your values? Are you doing something that's outside of them? Because I'm I I you know, we're not I'm I'm not immune to getting off Yes. Filter. I just have a I have a gosh darn good system now, and it's rare that it happens, but it still happens. Life gets busy. So then so that's my check-in. Okay. So if I'm feeling frustrated, if I feel stuck, if I feel, you know, if I'm feeling angry, I just I'm, like, scanning, like, who is it? Who entered my life? Maybe it's me. Maybe I said yes to something that I meant no. So I'm constantly, okay. How are you feeling? My body doesn't lie. I get a pain right here in my shoulder when I'm around the wrong people. And it took me a long time to figure that out. I was going to physical therapy for the last 2 years at corporate. I quit. I saw my physical therapist at church at Easter, and he's like, where have you been? I said, I quit my job. And he goes, I freaking knew it. I knew it, Christie. And I'm like, why didn't you tell me? I I a $120 a pop. Right. Exactly. For a lot a lot a long time. Like, what? But, you know, we were dry needling, and it was providing relief. But the there was something in the way that I hold my body that would cause these, you know, these and everybody has this. You all have these things that you just have to tune into it and have that, you know, slow down. And so then I like to reverse engineer all of that. So we're because I've had so much throughput in studying myself and studying all the people that I coach, now we can put a system in place. So where are the moments in time, Kristi, that you're that you have the most probability to go against your values? Well, I'll tell you, Shannon, for me, it's when I don't sleep good and I'm so busy. So if I don't sleep good and if I miss my workouts, if I'm not eating healthy, now my confidence is down, like, all that stuff is weighing on me. I feel bad about myself before the day even starts. So now I'm kind of in this weird spiral. If I drink alcohol, it gives me anxiety the next day. So I, you know, I I stay away from that. So now I have this system of like, okay, well, this is the personalized system that works for Christi. Sleep is everything to me. Then it's not like I'm sleeping all day. It's just that, like, what do I need to do to plan my day and unwind so that I can get good sleep if I like I have to work out. The endorphin release is real for me. Mhmm. So these are the things like, to me, this is high performance, you know? And, yeah, I'll light you up. Like, we'll we'll I'll get you going. I'll get you out of your head. But but it doesn't have to be like all this, you know, big, big stuff like that either. If if that, you know, it it really is just going, who am I and what what is the best environment for me to thrive? And that's where we start. The other thing too that you and I were talking about is like, where's my zone of genius and where where who do I need to pay to do other things? It's an exhausting process and you just get started because you got you don't even know what you're doing and you're like, woah. You start slow there. Yeah. I'm supposed to tell somebody else what to do on something I have no idea how to do Do I have Yeah. Yeah. And then they get mad, but it's not done right. And I'm like, well, did I even tell them? What did I tell them? Exactly. I don't even know what I yep. What I was asking of them at that point. Yeah. I can't be mad, but, man, we're burning through cash and leave. I'm like, okay. Awesome. So, again, it goes back to that system of, like so for me, you know, I have my my nonnegotiables. I don't have a huge routine like this, very lengthy morning routine, but it's the few things that I know that I absolutely need to do that gets me, you know, set straight. And when I'm starting to feel those feelings, I'm like, okay. Where is it? What do I do now? You know? Because and I think that's a big shift too. Like like, everything shifted for me when I realized nobody's coming to save me. Oh, that was the exact line that that changed everything for me. Literally. The exact line in my in my house. I was like, no one's coming. No one's coming. No one's coming. Yeah. I'm waiting for him. It's kinda like in the game right now. I'm like, I was waiting for my dad to come to the door, but, like, it's not Yes. I was I same exact space. I was I was waiting for, you know, another mom at the time to tell me how to do this whole parenting thing. And then I was like, she's not coming because she's busy. You know, she's busy trying to figure it out herself. So, yeah, it's so cool that that's that was that moment for you. Yeah. And then I think when I when I'm like, okay. I'm responsible Yes. For myself. It's the same thing. Like, it's a it's I have to make it happen. Yes. And I feel like you can look at that one of 2 ways. Right? Like, you can take that line and you can be like, oh my god. No one's coming. You know? And it can lead to panic and fear. Or you can look at no one's coming, and it's like, it's so empowering to be like, I get to be the one that shows up, does the work, creates the change, and then I get to sit in the beauty of it, you know, and and feel all the incredible shifts that happen when I show up in my life in such a different way. Yeah. That was such an empowering moment in my life too. So I I love when, you know, those exact words resonate with someone else. And, you know, what you were just talking about too and, you know, talking about values and one thing that we say a lot here in this house, like, when values are clear, decisions are easy. You know? And it's like easy. It's like you don't even have to, like, count every you don't have to weigh options. You don't have to sit there and be like, oh, should I do this or do that? It's like when you know your values, it's a yes or no. It's such a simpler process, and it allows you exactly like you're talking about to actually work from that core and that foundation to be like, okay. I'm actually moving in that direction. So, I'd love that that piece that to your point, again, it's it's something that we kinda have it as a checkbox. You know? Like, I feel like people are like, alright. Write down your value. Even like a business, it's like write down your values, write down your mission. You know? But it's like, if you're not operating from that place, where are you operating from? Like, what is that foundation in which you're jumping off of? Yeah. And and and then you know, and I do this for companies too. Like, it's so annoying to me to go in and see the values on the wall. I'm like, nobody's living these. Yes. Exactly. Nobody's living these. So how do we operationalize that in a daily in the daily? Right? If people are so important, how are we taking care of people every day? How why is that not a scorecard? So to create our own individual scorecard, whether you're work for a company or or or not, is such a great thing because, like you said, the system of, like, if it doesn't align with my values, it's a no. If it does, then it may be yes. There may be other things that I have to, you know, look into, so at the right time, what whatever it may be. And that is such a like, you talk about, like, reducing friction in the body and restlessness. It's like it's a yes or no. I interviewed, Drew Hamlin, MBA skills guide, last week on my and he's just like he's like, listen. Like, I don't drink. I don't drink. Like, there's no or there's no there's no, like, oh, okay. I'm gonna like, tonight's gonna be the night. I know. I'm like, like, tonight's gonna yep. You know? And I'm gonna go all out. Like, no. It's it's like I don't drink. Period. End of story. Yeah. And, and that works for him. And I think that we all have the areas that we need to say, like, okay. This is this is what's important to me. It's, this is part of my identity. Yes. Yeah. And I think one thing for me, and I wonder if it's similar for you, but I remember at the beginning of this process because very similar to you, it's like I want to be present in my life because I know the only moment that's happening is the one right in front of me. Right? Like, I can I can sit there and I can worry about the future and say, you know, all these things are gonna happen, but this moment right now is is what we have? Right? So it's like, I don't want to miss these moments. I want to actually be present in them. And and part of that process of kind of unraveling the, like, always in that goal oriented of, like, what's next, what's next. It was coming to this place of exactly what you're talking about is actually being able to connect to what I'm feeling in my body where and and actually realizing that there is a connection point and there is a a communication that you can have where your body does know what it's telling you. Right? The the body whether it's the body keeps the score. You know? The body is Yeah. There's certain things that you're experiencing. Like, you talk about that pain. You know? Like, I I am somebody who deeply feels things in my gut. Right? When they're off, it's like, you know, like, there's just like this this this tension that happens. And and So I actually physically get pain in your in your in your gut? Yes. You do? Okay. Yes. And it's like to to actually understand that when you can sit in that and actually connect to those physical feelings in the body, that can help to create that momentum or that shift to be able to move in a different direction. So I don't know if it was a learning process for you, but I feel like I've spent so many years in my head allowing that to dictate that I wasn't actually listening to, like, dropping into my physical body to actually feel what was there. Yeah. No. A a 1000%. And I feel like you and I are on a similar mission. Like, I I I think the the mind is a beautiful thing. I love I love my mind, and I'm so grateful for it. But, like, you know, I've, I I have had over 500 puppies and mommy dogs through my house. That's so cool. And I've always gravitated, always gravitated. And they've always gravitated to me too. And, and they're not thinking. Right. Right? They're not thinking. And when you see animals interact with each other and respond to us and the little girl that I have now, I mean, I I I I call her Goose. Her name's Millie. Oh. She's got every name except for her name, but she comes to all of them. But but if it the Top Gun reference that I'm flying the plane, she's telling me what to do. That's so cool. I'm watching her. Right? Yes. And and I think that they're, we're animals too. And and the reason why we stutter is because we get in our head. Yes. So I would just invite people to, just to start to pay attention, just to start to pay attention. And if and and and in patterns, I I I love patterns. I feel like I've made my fortune off of patterns because you watch people and things mean something. And if that person does it, then you probably remember 15 other stories of somebody doing that. And you can probably predict the future off of that pattern unless something monumental happened. So when you study yourself, just start to pay attention. Is there a certain place where you start to feel things? Yes. Like you, your gut. And and and and it it probably means something else externally. But just start just start just pay attention and go, okay. What's going on now? And write it down. When's the last time I felt this? Okay. Alright. You don't have to have it all figured out. I think sometimes that it gets overwhelming, but just start to notice start to notice. I think one thing that was a big shift for me too because I don't know if you get this question a lot where it's like, well, I don't know how to take action to trust. Right? Is that if that really is just something we're like or if I how do I learn to trust that and and to take action from there? And I don't know if you have any thoughts on that, but part of my process was trusting the really little things first where it's like, okay. Yeah. There's big things that I'm feeling like I'm supposed to do, but, like, I'm gonna start by like, I'm feeling like I should go a different way to, like, drive the kids to school today. Right? And then and then just allowing myself to see, okay, what unfolds in my day from that decision that I made and being present enough to actually witness, oh, like, I ran into this person or this happened, you know, and and seeing those little shifts that allowed me to build that trust to then listen to that with the bigger, you know, bigger things that I felt, were for me. So I don't know if you had a process with kind of trusting that also. Yeah. I love that story, by the way. And I encourage people to do something very similar as well. Like, if you just had a free day just to just to kind of let yourself when people see the way I work, they are shocked to know that, that I love I'm really goofy, and I love to blow around like an auto lift. And half the time, I have no idea where my phone is. When I'm working, I know exactly where that thing is. Believe it or not, I'm like, is anybody is that is any did I bring in does anybody see I'm like, is anybody is it is any did I bring in is anybody see me walking with it? Did I did I is it here? Is it you know, people like, are this the same person? I'm like, yeah. This is the same meeting. And, that took a long time to kind of step into too. But if you could just blow around like an autumn leaf one day and and and then notice what happened in that day. Like, you have no plan for the day and just just get these instincts of where you should go, what you saw, and be fully present. And you'll be amazed at at, at what happened, just based off of your intuition and tapping into that. I think that's, like, self reflecting too back on times where you had a feeling. I think now, you know, my my audience, your audience, we've lived enough to probably have a lot of those moments of, like, shh, I knew it. Uh-huh. That was one of those times. Yeah. The other thing that was really helpful for me being somebody who, really had to get away from perfectionism Yes. Really had to get away from that is in having all the answers. Is to, is to not now if I if I know, I you you you you will feel me. Like, I you know, if you're gonna go the wrong way or I have permission to tell you, I will get in there. I will get in there and help you. But, but giving myself the grace that I'm on this journey too Oh, yes. And starting to speak about it differently, like, I don't know. But, you know, just, why not? Everybody who's listening, like, why can't you just start you don't have to tell anybody. Just start paying attention. Right? Just start paying attention and start recalling all those moments. Start paying attention with the feelings that you've had and see how it plays out. Right. You you you know, and you don't have to make these huge huge declarations that if if you do get in your head and second guess yourself and make a change or as you're learning your connection with yourself, with your God, with your intuition, with your intuition, with your whatever it is, whatever you call it, just give yourself some grace or maybe with a a safe space of a couple of people Yes. Where you have the flexibility to figure it out. And, also, if you're like me and a grander scale in you, if you're thinking about pivoting, like, give yourself the grace to change your mind too. Yes. Yes. I I think that was I think that's the interesting thing in the world that we live in with social media because a lot of us are like, we have tell everybody what we're doing all, you know, all the time. Right? And it's like, I think that was what the advice that you just gave about allowing yourself to to start to experience things, and you don't have to tell anyone. Like, that that was what was huge for me. It's like, this is my journey. I don't know how it's unfolding, so I'm gonna allow myself to just experience it and see what happens. And there's so much beauty in that and not feeling like you have to, like, be held accountable or somebody like, well, you were feeling this way last week and now you're feeling this, you know, somewhere else. And it's like, allow that to just be okay and and be in these silent spaces that's just you. You know? I I think that is so When I start seeing that I'm on this journey too, like, that just that just relieves so much stress for me. And there are moments, like, with the declarations, I do do that, but I do it when I because I know myself. Exactly. Because you're taking the time first. I feel like that example. When I decided that I was gonna do this summit, then I left a video message for Ben Newman asking him if he'll speak at it. I'm like, there is no way I'm not gonna do this now. Yes. Yes. Exactly. Right? Yes. There's absolutely no way Yes. That I'm and I did that on purpose because Exactly. You know that if I don't do this right now Yes. Like, as soon as I hit my head and I realize this heat that I'm under to put this thing on, I may not do it. Yes. Those those moments of courage and just embracing them, it's so true. And, you know, I I wanna speak about the the summit because this is something that I am just it's such a beautiful thing that you're creating, and I would love if you could share a little bit more. So I believe this podcast will go out right before the summit is actually Oh, yeah. So we'll we'll get it out because I think, it would be beautiful to just share what it is that you've created and and the opportunity there. Sure. Thank you so much. So, so you all know my story now. And what you don't know is that I grew up in a one stoplight town and was always afraid to ask for help and felt like I had to just figure it all out myself. And I feel like a lot of the pain and frustration and the the the self suffering I put myself through was not having the information and the people. And when you are trying to make changes in your life and you wanna make changes, you need new information. And it may not be new, but new to you. You need new information. You need to upgrade your upgrade your mindset, and the information can do that. Oftentimes, all it takes is hearing one other person that felt it and got through it or did it. Now you have validation and proof that you can do it too. Yes. But we're going a step further because, as you know, I've gathered, 20 of, like, the most renowned people in the world in their respective area. Y'all need to see this this lineup of humans. It's incredible. It's incredible. Incredible. Human Bradley, Renee Rodriguez, Emily Ford, Devin Klein, Phil Stringer, Renee Marino, just to name a few. You know, they're they're pouring into you. They're giving you information. And I I feel like part of my my purpose is to get you into momentum. I wanna get you unstuck. I wanna give you a little bit of something to to to get to inspire hope and also to give you tangible real advice to to keep on going. So the summit's free. You can buy the recordings if you want to. All of that goes to charity. All of that's going to, to help all those affected by what's happening, unfortunately, in California right now. I didn't the the recordings are not a moneymaker. This is, this is because I want, I want you to, give yourself permission and not feel like you have to rush through all the information. Everything is prerecorded. New speakers are released, over 4 days, 5 speakers a day. But I want you to be able to stop it. And if if you hear something and and you go, oh, I'm gonna do that. I want you to take that freaking moment of courage right then and do it or go apply it. You can always come back and finish. And I don't want people to feel like they have to sit there and consume because you're probably gonna lose the moment. So it's happened January 24th, to I'm sorry. 21st to 24th. It's free. If you go to success unleashed summit.com, you can register for it. You don't have to buy the the recordings if you don't want to. But we would love to have the opportunity to pour into you. I know everybody that I've that I've brought on is excited to they're on the same mission to help people help people get from where they are to where it is they're trying to go. It is so cool. I'm I'm excited to participate in that myself. I gotta get myself signed up for that because it's just hearing hearing your story and just being in this conversation with you, I am just, like, your energy fires me up. Like, just the way that you word things, it's I just when I meet anyone, but it seems like, when I meet professional women who are operating from this place of alignment, that's like, I am I know why I'm here, and I know what I'm here to do. It's like, oh, that's the train I wanna be on. You know? Because it's just like there's nothing more more powerful than somebody working from that place and having an impact, and and the world needs this so deeply right now for for people to just come to this place from, you know, alignment and and this place of, like, intention and showing up in their life the way that they know that they are meant to live. So I'm so excited for that. And and in addition to that, so you also have a 12 week program. Would you mind sharing a little bit about that too? Because I'm sure people are like, I need to how do I get involved here with Christie? Because Yay. Yeah. So tell me about your program. Yeah. Thank you so much for all those kind words. I really appreciate it. I do want people to know that, I didn't land here when I was Yes. For a year ago. Okay? So so you if you're on the journey too, just know you'll figure it out. The only difference is I didn't stop. I didn't stop. And I gave myself grace. And and, and I kept kept on showing up. And and I'll continue to involve and unleash, which is the title of, this 12 week program for women. So I believe being around people that that bring the energy is incredibly important. We go home, we get in our environments, we get in our heads, and it's really hard to operate. And I'm speaking to myself when I say this too. It's all purposely designed. It's a 12 week program where we first get you in alignment. The first the first month now, is all alignment and really helping you understand why you're feeling the way you are, who you are, what makes you tick, what may what brings you fulfillment, and just starting to get you get you teed up. Then we layer high performance techniques on top of that. Now we could do it in reverse, but that's where I was in corporate America. I had all the success, but something was missing. Right? Once we once you're in alignment now, we're adding I'm giving you my whole playbook of how I set my day up, how I have the conversations that I have, the bold moves. And the cool thing is I share everything. Like, the ladies that have gone through this before, I mean, they see everything that's going on in my life and, you know, that's the best way to learn. It's like, how's she do that? What's she doing? Like, what's happening? You see the good, the bad and everything in between. And the last piece of but once we layer all those high performance systems, I believe in systems, getting up and knowing exactly what you're supposed to do every day. And this all works too as you're figuring it out as well because life still has to happen. You have to figure it out. Then the third the third piece is acceleration. So now we are throttling down. And this is where I believe a lot of programs fall short for their participants with the best of intentions. Now you're going to do all this in a silo by yourself? No way. Right? No way. Because you're going to have questions. You're going to need to tweak your schedule. You're going to need to make adjustments. And I call it calibration. And I'm going to be with you for that last 4 weeks. We have a WhatsApp channel that's very, very active. You can ask questions. Everybody comes together and supports each other too, but you have me as well. We we have 4 weeks. I layer some other additional more advanced high performance techniques in there, and we stay very, very close. And that channel is open forever. Like, once we finish the 12 weeks, you know, we just can we're just putting more and more women in there. Very selective on the people. I think that, you know, you have to be ready and open, and, and I'm very excited. So that'll start February 10th if anybody's interested in that. It's 12 12 weeks, and, and we're going to go. You're going to take massive bold action. And that may just be in figuring yourself out, but I imagine you're going to it's hard not to when you're in the environment. Right. Exactly. It's really hard not to, and I think so many are looking for permission and looking for somebody to go alongside of them. Yes. We do have an accountability system in there too, and the ladies that did it last this last go around, they're texting me now. They're like, what am I supposed to do on Mondays? Like, I need it back. I didn't realize how impactful that was for them, but showing up and saying what they're doing and then actually doing it, and and, that's something that we all look forward to. So February 10th is the next the next group. If anybody is interested, you can reach out to me. I'm sure Shannon will put this in the show notes, and we can jump on a call. It it it may not be for you, and that's totally fine. Like, I I'm, I'm here to answer any questions and let you get to know me better. And if it feels if it feels right, we'll move forward. If not, I still appreciate you. Yes. Well, absolutely, we'll share both the summit and the Unleash program, or access to your website in the show notes so that way you all can find Christy there. And so I have just one more question here as we're, you know, obviously, we've talked around. There's been different layers to this experience. Right? And and it's continuing to evolve and it's continuing to every day, it will shift and change. But if you were to go back to really the beginning of you deciding that life was gonna look different, what if you could, what would you do differently? Or what would you tell that version of yourself through that experience? Would have freaking done it then. I would have loved then. This joke. Fuck. You can talk. Yeah. You can't I think that I make things harder and more of a big deal than they actually are. I think that, and I and and I I feel like I'm 90% better than I ever used to be, but, worrying about what other people would think and the judgment of others. I don't give a flying, you know, what now. But that was huge for me. It was it was so huge for me before. Nobody cares. They're looking at themselves. Like, we get on Zoom, everybody's looking at themselves. And and if you I will I will leave everybody with this. If if if tomorrow was your last day and you're in hospice and you can't get back out of bed, you can't go do any of those things. What would you have wished that you would have at least tried? Because you can always go back to your other life. You can always go back. Like, you know, you you really could. So if there's something there, however big or small, please do it. Please please go do it. That that thought and just living from that place is so different. Right? So please, everybody that's listening, take a moment and listen to what Christy just said. Like, think about if you are actually coming at your life as if this day is the last day. Right? Allow yourself to live from that place and see what it feels like. I know similar like, I started living from that place and everything shifts because Yeah. Because you're living from this place of, you know, I'm gonna call the person. I'm not gonna wait. I'm I'm gonna not hold the grudge. I'm not gonna hold resentment. I'm gonna address it and come to life from such a different place. So such a beautiful thought, and I I hope as you all are sitting here listening to this, maybe there's some words that Christy is saying that are hitting you right in your core, and you're like, oh, she's speaking to me. Right? And in the same way that she is encouraging you to take action, do something with it. Allow it to be the beginning of of a new way to show up or make a shift or make a change or listen to your body like we were talking about. Listen to that that knowing, that that connection point, and give yourself permission to trust it. Christie, thank you so much for being here today. This conversation has lit me up here on this Tuesday morning. It's been exciting. Yes. So Yes. So many beautiful things to come in 2025. I don't know. It just feels like a a different different way of doing things. So I am, 1, so grateful to be on this journey with you, to know that you are out there creating the beautiful environments that you're creating and the way that you are really supporting people on this journey gets me excited. And I am really honored to, one, to just know you and know that that, you know, you're just a beautiful human in this world, and I'm really grateful for the connection. Oh my gosh. So so kind. I I appreciate you so much. It can feel very lonely out here, and it can feel quite very lonely when you're going against what the rest of the people are doing, and you're just running your own race, off of your definition of success. And I know that that you're right there too, and I'm I'm just so blessed that, that we found each other and that we're on this journey you can't get rid of now. That's right. The feeling's mutual. We're here for it. Thank you. Thank you so much for being here. Absolutely. And and everyone who's listening, as we shared every episode, I hope that you remember that there is more to life than going through the motions. Allow this conversation to be part of that shift and allow it to be a day where you just operate from a different place. So I hope you all have a beautiful day, and look forward to talking to you next time. Talking to you next time. You've been listening to the motion of gratitude podcast.
